"R-Wave" clocks are radio controlled and extremely accurate due to their ability to receive signals from the most accurate clock in the world, the cesium atomic clock maintained by the National Institute of Standards in Fort Collins, Colorado. This atomic clock is so accurate it keeps time to within on second in one million years. Seiko R-Wave clocks also automatically adjust for daylight saving time.

easy to set, easy to use, the light feature means that it will only light when you want it to, no light pollution... it doesn't get any better. the only con if you will is in my area, the auto set is blocked by my venetian blinds, but when you open the blinds it hooks right up with the rf transmitter.

I had planned on using this clock in our bedroom. The display is difficult to \nread. We now have it on a shelf in our bathroom. It is nice to press the top \nbutton for the display to light up, at night, so you can see what time it is. \nI would not recommend this clock. It has a nice style and well made. \nIt just isn't useful. The photo online had the display with more contrast and \nreadable. In real life the display doesn't display well.

I bought this clock for my 88 year old Mother. She never knew what day or date it was, or whether is was AM or PM. This is perfect for her. She really seems to like it,and if she's happy, then I'm happy!\n\nIt's also large enough so that she doesn't have to pick it up to see it,\nand she just presses the bar along the top the light it up.
