Tad and Beth began designing The Hen-Feathers® Collection on a beautiful gentleman's farm in the historic town of Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, over twenty-two years ago. Since then, their original collection of about twenty pieces has grown to encompass hundreds, and the Hen-Feathers® name has become synonymous with superior craftsmanship and outstanding product durability.


Tad and Beth's designs are inspired by the shape and beauty of just about everything in nature and the garden. The driving force behind The Hen-Feathers® Collection has always been Tad and Beth's deep appreciation of antiques and European style combined with a sense of history and nature. As designers, Tad and Beth's signature style is to mix classical designs, at times with a whimsical edge, with a distinctive design that still preserves the dignity of form. Tad and Beth Featherman are truly very passionate, special, and unique designers.


The Featherman's have designed and reproduced collections for The Winterthur Museum, The Smithsonian Museum, Monticello and The Natchez Foundation. Many fine retailers, as well as magazines, have featured the Featherman’s signature designs for years. Their designs have appeared in House Beautiful, Country Living, and Garden Design.
